Letter from the Principal...

Here at Christian Center School, you will find a qualified, dedicated, loving staff that has a mission to provide an excellent, Christ-centered education for your child. Each child is treated with dignity and respect, and is of utmost importance to us.

CCS utilizes the A Beka curriculum in each subject for all students from Pre-Kindergarten (three year old) through fifth grade. The A Beka curriculum has been developed, tested, and refined over a period of 50 years in the classrooms of Pensacola Christian Academy and schools like CCS throughout the nation. The purpose of the A Beka curriculum reflects the goals of CCS, which are to lead young people to Christ and train them in the Bible, Christian character, and traditional subject matter so they have a firm foundation from which to evaluate the present and make proper decisions for the future. The end result is that your child develops a Biblical world view.

Bible, language, mathematics, art, music, safety, health, and manners are taught beginning in PreK. Social studies is taught in K5. History and geography are taught beginning in first grade.

CCS has an international flavor. There are children here from around the globe. The D.C. area is very international to start with, and our school reflects that. We also are currently helping in projects around the world. We are digging a water well in Ecuador, we are taking school supplies to Nicaragua, and also will be taking our special performances at Christmas and at Easter to shut-ins in our area.

We would love for you to come by and visit us. We are conveniently located near Fort Belvoir and Kingstowne. We are two blocks east of the intersection of Van Dorn Street and Franconia Road, in Alexandria.
