School Closures...

CCS follows Fairfax Counties decisions for school closings. The voice mail at the school will have an announcement of delays or closings by 5:30 a.m. You can tune in to television channels 4, 7, 8, or radio station WGTS 91.9FM to learn the status of Christian Center School openings and closings.

You can also go to www.SchoolsOut.com. There you can register to receive emails regarding Christian Center School inclement weather and emergency closings. This is a very convenient way to stay in the know. There is no cost to you for this service. Please take advantage of this great program. You will never have to guess or wait to know what is going on.

Here is what happens in each situation when the school schedule changes:

• Schools Closed - The decision is announced on all mentioned information outlets. ELC is also closed. All school activities are canceled unless otherwise announced.
• Delayed Opening - Schools will open later than usual; opening times will be announced on all information outlets as soon as a decision is made. All field trips are canceled. ELC may be delayed the same amount of time that schools are delayed.
• Early Dismissal - Schools will dismiss early if conditions require. Dismissal times will be announced on all information outlets (listed below) as soon as a decision is made. ELC and other school activities are usually canceled.
