3rd Grade Teacher, Mr. Ryan McAllister

My name is Ryan McAllister. I am a native of Northern Virginia, from the town of Woodbridge. I played football from the time I was 6 until the time I was 18. During High school, I was a leader, and eventually the President, from my Junior to Senior year, of the Hylton High School chapter of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. As a sophomore, I began dating my now wife, Amy, who is my best friend, beautiful bride, and partner in all things. During my college summers, I interned with First Baptist Church of Woodbridge in their youth ministry. After attending Messiah College and studying fine art for two years, I transferred and later graduated from James Madison University. While studying at JMU, I became a semester missionary with the North American Mission board and served at Aletheia Church by leading Bible studies, doing door-to-door/on campus evangelism every week, and being a part of the creative team.
After graduating, I began looking for the place where God would use Amy and me. At Manassas Baptist, I was hired as a summer intern in the youth department. After prayer and seeking God's guidance, I found out about a church called Sunset Hills Baptist that was looking for a youth pastor. I was brought on to the pastoral team in 2009 and took over the youth ministry. God brought me to CCS to help with art during the summer of 2011 and I began working as the 3rd grade teacher in October of 2011.
I am passionate about many things: my wife Amy, teaching, art, Redskins football, apologetics and New Testament studies. It is my prayer that I can use these passions for God's glory here at CCS.
